April reflected the lowest number of crashes for 2013, with just under 19,500.

Traffic accident fatalities were down from 1,122 people killed in 2012 to 990 people killed in 2013.
2013 reflected the first time in recorded history that Ohio state experienced less than 1,000 car accident fatalities.
465 vehicle passengers lost their lives in car accidents in 2013 because they failed to wear a seatbelt.
Roughly 30 percent of the accidents in 2013 involved alcohol-impaired drivers.
